UX Writing and design
“Nothing about us, without us, is for us” — Judi Chamberlin, mental health advocate.
Recently we took part in a workshop to improve our UX writing and design skills to make digital products that include everyone.
It is important to prioritize digital accessibility and inclusivity by implementing features like alt text, hyperlink descriptions, video captions, and downloadable transcripts.
When creating sign-up forms, steer clear of alienating individuals by asking questions that allow them to identify themselves in a way that feels significant to them.
It's recommended to use CamelCase for hashtags as it prevents awkward errors and is more compatible with screen readers. For instance, consider using #AmIRightOrAmIWrong instead of #amirightoramiwrong.
To develop digital products that truly work for all users, it is imperative to keep in mind who you're designing for.
